Team Luciani offers owners a complete package, from selecting and buying a horse through to agistment, training and racing. They can take care of everything from organising horse floats to taking care of the paperwork, so owners can have as much or as little hands-on as they want.

BUYING

Lou is one of WA's most experienced buyers, and his horses consistently number amongst the best horses of the year, every year. Factor in Dion's international experience and expertise, and you've got the best buying team in the business.

Lou and Dion can buy on your behalf, or assist you in the selection of your own horses.

TRAINING

Team Luciani works at the leading edge, utilising the very latest training methods and technological advances in their quest to achieve the best results possible for every horse under their care. Lou's long history and excellent track record, together with Dion's up-to-date approach and extensive experience as a leading jockey, gives the team that all-important winning edge, and keeps them at the forefront of the horse racing industry.

Horses raced by the Luciani stables have won most of the state's feature Group and Listed races, including the Group One Railway Stakes and the Group Two Perth Cup, as well as races in the eastern states.

PRE-TRAINING & AGISTMENT

Agistment is available through the quality facilities of Amelia Park Estate. Amelia Park Estate is a world-class agistment, pre-training and training facility for racehorses situated in the heart of the southwest wine region of Busselton/Margaret River.

Facilities include:

• 1800 metre race track complete with barriers
• 8-horse walking machine with rubber matting
• Stabling for 21 horses
• Small and large paddock with shelter
• Fully imported rail rubber strapping from Kentucky for safety
• Round Yard
• Irrigated paddocks for green pastures all year round
• 10 minutes from the beach
• Regularly serviced by vets, farrier and floating companies

Pre-training and spelling is also available closer to Perth, in the rural setting of Bindoon. Changes in environment, between paddocks as well as between agistment and training centres, is vital for a horse's wellbeing and ensures a longer racing life.

The horses are under supervision at all times by Lou and Dion and their team of highly experienced property managers.

COMMUNICATIONS

Team Luciani believe it is of the utmost importance to keep owners completely up-to-date with the status quo of their horses at all times. Lou and Dion maintain constant and regular contact with owners, whether the horses are in agistment, spelling, pre-training or full work. All information, including progress reports, race form and potential nominations, is passed on to the owners in the form of email or fax. At all times owners are fully aware of the status and progress of their horses, and communication between owners and trainer is always open and welcomed.
